Four Seasons is synonymous with luxury. And throughout our three-night stay, the Four Seasons Seattle lived up to the brand’s reputation. Located in the center of downtown this five-star hotel is perfect for those wanting to enjoy all this city has to offer. It is directly across from the Seattle Art Museum and just steps away from Pike Place Market and the Great Wheel. Additionally, this prime location offers the most stunning views of the water — which you need to take in from the rooftop pool and Goldfinch Tavern.
The moment you enter the lobby you are greeted by the hotel’s friendly staff and immersed in subtle luxury. Beautiful artwork, fresh flowers, and earth tones seem to envelop you. The property feels like a boutique hotel but has all the amenities of a large resort. It is the perfect escape from the fun, and chaos, of the city when you’re ready to wind down for the day.
Staying at a Four Seasons hotel is a splurge, but one that you won’t regret. Nightly rates for a standard city-view room range from $450 to upwards of $1,000 during peak weekends. When we visited, we took advantage of a promotion that offered the third night free. So, make sure to check out the hotel’s current offers before booking.
Kid-friendly at its Best
Although this property isn’t designed around kids, the staff were very accommodating and welcoming to the little ones. The beautiful design, upscale atmosphere, and kid-friendly touches set the tone for a great family vacay.
As with many luxury hotels, guests are provided a bathrobe to use during their stay. However, few hotels offer kid-sized robes, which was a hit with our little guy! Room service and the Goldfinch Tavern both have excellent kids’ menus, and the restaurant even had Lego-themed utensils.
Four Seasons Seattle Guest Rooms
This is the most immaculate hotel we have ever stayed at. In all our travels, I can’t think of one time I haven’t noticed something stained, dirty, or in need of repair in our guest room. That is until we arrived here.
They have thought of every detail with a wet bar, Nespresso, plenty of storage, blackout curtains, and reading lamps. The bathrooms have dual vanities, a separate shower and bath, fluffy towels, and a TV in the mirror so you don’t miss anything while getting ready.
The bonus was the fully stocked mini bar with high-end snacks, drinks, and Macallan 18 — which made Ben happy.
The insanely comfortable beds made getting up in the morning so much harder. And the reason we decided to have breakfast in bed each morning.
Our room had a view of the city. However, rooms on the other side of the hotel have the most incredible views of the bay. So, if you decide to visit, I suggest considering a room with a water view.
Five-Star Service
Where do I even start? How about with the Coffee Concierge? Between 6 am – 10 am you can call the Coffee Concierge to have a complimentary cup of coffee delivered to your room. There are coffee machines in each room, but there is something special about having a freshly made coffee delivered just the way you like.
The room service was fantastic. We ordered breakfast each morning and dinner one night from room service. Each time the experience was superb. For breakfast make sure to try the carrot cake overnight oats…. delish!
Turn down service brought slippers, chocolates, and freshly baked cookies one evening. Returning to a clean room with little surprises after a hectic day set the tone for a peaceful and restful night. Additionally, the concierge was responsive and helpful. They set up our transportation from the airport and provided some dinner recommendations crafted to our specific tastes and personalities.
Rooftop Pool
For one of the best views in Seattle, you need to visit the Four Seasons Seattle pool. The heated infinity pool overlooks the bay and the Great Wheel, which at night is illuminated with lights. The pool was one of our favorite things at this hotel. Most of the time we had it to ourselves, and it was so relaxing to swim in the warm water with unbeatable sunset views.
You can order drinks and food to have delivered to the pool, and there is also a hot tub for additional relaxation.
Goldfinch Tavern
The service at Goldfinch Tavern was top notch, just as you would expect from a restaurant inside a Four Seasons. The decor is modern and masculine with leather accents, a large fireplace in the center, and a view of the bay.
The boys enjoyed fresh seafood, and I was in heaven because they had a dedicated plant-based menu. That, along with a good wine selection, put me in full vacay mode. Not in the mood for a cocktail? Then you need to try their Purple Rain! It was the best mocktail I have ever tried — and was the perfect “special” drink for Carter.
Seattle Family Activities
We fit so much into our long weekend in Seattle. We rode the Great Wheel, visited the Museum of Pop Culture and the Sky View Observatory, went whale watching, dined at fantastic restaurants, and walked our way around the city. What a fun trip! To view our three-day Seattle itinerary, click here.
We will miss the Four Seasons Seattle and this beautiful city. Until next time, Emerald City!
